Introduction :

ICT  stands  for  Information  and  Communication  Technology . ICT  means   getting  information  and  communicating  faster  by  using  technologies . As  we  know  that , 21st  century  is  based  on  knowledge . And  we  can  gain  knowledge and  get informations   by  using  ICT . Now  we  have  started  two  things  like - globalization  and  internationalization  with  the  help   of  ICT   . ICT  is  important in security , recreation , education , medical  sector , business  and  to  build  up  a  good  career .

ICT  in  security :

We  need  a  good  security  to  protect  our  personal  informations   or  documents . We  can  protect  our  valuable  informations  by  using  passwords . We  can  use  unique   passwords  and  two  step  authentication  in   different  kind  of sites  like  facebook  ,  twitter ,  gmail  etc  to  protect . Only  for  ICT ,  we  can  secure  our  personal  informations .

ICT  in  education :

We  can’t  think  of  a  tasteful  way  to  learn  any  lessons  without  the  help  of  ICT . By  using  multimedia  projector  in  classes ,  students  can  understand  any  topic  very  easily . Besides , we  can  get  many  online  classes  by  using  internet . Thus,  we  can  learn  anything  sitting  at  home . Besides  we  can  read  any  books  by  downloading  e-books . Thus,   ICT  is  important  in  education .

ICT  in  career :

We  can’t  think  of  a  single  day  in  future  without  ICT . ICT  is  important  to  join  a  company  because  we  can’t  get  a  good  job  without  having  any  primary  skills  about  using  softwares , internet , e-mail , social  sites  etc . All  over  the  world , ICT is  necessary  to  build  up  a  good  career . People  are  working  at  well  known  companies  like  Google , Microsoft  without  going  to  office . They  can  income  money  sitting  in  the  house  by  outsourcing .

ICT  in  making  any  presentation  or  writing :

We  can  make  any  assignment  or  any  presentation  by  using  ICT . Because  there  are  many  softwares  for  writing  or  presentation . We  can  beautify  our  presentations  or  assignments  by  attaching  photo , graph , table  with  the  help   of   these  software’s . Again  we  can  use  excel  for  equations , making  results , calculation  of  income  and  expenditure  etc . So , we  can  make  any  files  or  any  presentation  or  any  slides  by  using  ICT . We  can  create  logos , designs , photos  by  the  help  of  Adobe  Illustrator. 

ICT  in  medical :

Nowadays ,  a  new  type  of  medical  service  for  general  people  is  started  and  it  is  known  as  “Tele  Medicine” .  We can  get  medical  services  by  using  telephones .

ICT  in  business :

In  business ,  we  can  use  ICT  for  our  benefit . We  can   reduce  costs  and  increase  profits  by  using  ICT .

ICT  in  recreation  and  entertainment :

For  recreation  and  entertainment , we  can  see  cinema  and  hear  songs  from  the  internet . We  can  also  play  many  types  of  games  from  computer .

ICT  in  building  up  a  “Digital  Bangladesh” :

Now  Bangladesh  is  near  to  turn  into  “Digital  Bangladesh” . Government  has  taken  many  steps  to  make  a  “Digital  Bangladesh”  within  2021 . Only  for  ICT  Government can  give   human  rights   better  than  ever  before . And  this  is  the  pre-condition  of  making  “Digital  Bangladesh” . So,  ICT is  important  to  build  up  a  “Digital  Bangladesh” .

ICT  in  government  services : Besides  ICT  has  made  the  government  services  available  for  everyone . ICT  ensures  transparency  and  accountability  of  the  government  .  It  reduces  the  harassment  of  people  and the  way  of  good  governance  opens  up  in  the  country. 

Conclusion : To  conclude ,  we  can  say  that  without  ICT  we  can’t  lead  a  single  day  in  this  generation . Because  todays  generation  is  known  as  “The  generation  of  ICT” .  So  from  bedroom  to  officeroom  we  have  to  use  technologies  of  ICT .  A  famous  scientist  Holden  said , 
“ We   need  to  use  technologies   more  than  ever  before .”
